Bespoke Trial Garments

Trial Garments

Every first-time bespoke client begins by purchasing a trial garment for the item you would like to commission.

For example:

  • Purchasing a Trial Suit begins the process of making a bespoke suit.

  • Purchasing a Trial Jacket begins the process of making a bespoke jacket.

  • Purchasing a Trial Trousers begins the process of making bespoke trousers.

After your purchase, you'll automatically receive a welcome email with everything you need to get started, including instructions for booking your one-hour video consultation.

What Happens Next

1. Schedule Your Consultation

After your trial garment purchase, you'll receive an email with a link to book a one-hour video consultation.

During the consultation we'll:

  • Discuss your style, needs, and preferences.

  • Guide you through a series of measurements.

  • Evaluate the fit of garments you already own.

  • Talk through design details and fabric options.

2. Trial Garment & Fabric Proposals

Using the information gathered during our consultation, we'll create your trial garment.

Once it arrives (approximately 4–6 weeks later), we'll schedule a second one-hour fitting consultation to review the fit and make any adjustments to your bespoke pattern.

There is no need to return the trial garment.

Following our consultation, I'll curate a personalized selection of fabrics based on everything we discussed, including your lifestyle, climate, intended use, and aesthetic preferences.

You'll receive a detailed proposal with recommended fabrics, pricing, and my thoughts on each option to help you make an informed decision.

We will send this prior to your trial garment fitting as it’s helpful to know what fabric you’d like while going through the fitting process.

3. Your Bespoke Garment

After your fitting has been approved, we'll produce your final bespoke garment.

Production typically takes 5–8 weeks, after which your finished garment will be shipped to you.

Your bespoke pattern is then kept on file, making future commissions significantly easier. In most cases, additional trial garments are not required for future orders.

Worldwide shipping is included with all trial garments.

We ship via DHL or UPS and prepay import duties for the United States and most other countries.

Please note that all bespoke garments are made specifically for each client and are therefore non-returnable.
